Bradley Burchill, born 19th Feb. 1983, is a singer, songwriter, guitarist best known in the South West of England for his lead vocal and guitarist role in former band Beachfield (2011-2021). Bradley was raised outside of London, United Kingdom. He grew up listening and playing along to records of Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Fugees and moved to Cornwall in 2006, at the age of 23. Already proficient on the guitar, he quickly established himself in Cornwall’s surf rock and acoustic singer/song-writer scene in ‘Kernowfornia’s’ Newquay, playing beach parties and late-night jams and eventually forming his band Beachfield. The trio of guitar, bass and drums, with a folk-rock/roots feel, charged with psychedelic rock and occasional syncopated rhythms, transcended genres, giving the band their unique style. Working as a successful, full-time, performing artist within Cornwall and Devon’s local gig circuit, Bradley continued playing with Beachfield, performing at some of Cornwall’s biggest music festivals and wrote and released Beachfield’s album, Sandy Cows in 2013. As a firey-fingered, riff-master, using the innovative combination of acoustic guitar through wah-wah pedal, with up-beat, gypsy swing tempos and a funky groove, Bradley developed his idiosyncratic guitar style, while building a solid following at gigs and on social media. During this time, he also began performing as lead guitarist in Tribo Groove, a dance-inducing, positively mad, seven-piece funk, reggae, hip-hop fusion band and continued to gig with both bands from 2018 to 2021. More recently, he has begun to develop his music as a solo artist, creating new material with guitar and vocals and experimenting with loop pedals to produce lyrical soundscapes rooted by bluesy funk riffs. With a BA (HONS) Music at Falmouth University underway and a new album on the horizon, he has been creating and cultivating a set of new songs while busking in the streets of Newquay.
